Troubleshooting
Traffic Architect Mac Missing Game Executable
Traffic Architect’s release-day Mac “Missing game executable” error had a missing Steam launch option. The developer says that option was fixed on November 3, around 19:45 CET. Restart Steam, then try the game again. If needed, use Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files, the alternative confirmed in the same reply. This is a specific launch-configuration correction, not a promise to fix every Mac crash.

Check that this is the same launch failure
The original Mac report failed before entering the game. Steam’s message referred to a missing Traffic Architect.exe under the installed Traffic Architect folder. A Windows-style filename in that Mac launch error is different from an in-game road tool failing or a graphics crash after play starts.
Confirm that you selected the intended Steam product. The full game is App 5028050; the Demo is separate. The developer’s correction here concerns the full-game release launch option. Do not rename an application or delete saves to imitate the error’s filename.
Refresh the launch configuration through Steam
- Close and restart Steam, as the developer directs, then open Traffic Architect from the library.
- If the same missing-executable error persists, right-click the game in your library and open Properties.
- Choose Installed Files, then Verify integrity of game files. Let Steam finish the check before launching again.
- Compare the result with the original error: does the game now reach its menu, or does Steam still name the same missing file?
If it still will not launch
The developer explicitly asks affected players to reply if those steps do not work. Record the product, macOS version, exact missing-file message, and whether restarting Steam and verifying files changed it. Use the original launch thread to preserve that context.
A player also posted a Terminal workaround before the developer reply. The supported Steam steps above avoid relying on a guessed installation path. If the game opens but a key or camera action is wrong, switch to Mac controls; that is a different task.
This launch check succeeds when Steam opens the intended Mac game instead of requesting the missing executable. If it still fails, the useful outcome is an exact before/after launch report, not repeated reinstalls or deletion of progress.
