Traffic Architect No Route Available: Destination Checks

November 3, 2026 · Full 1.1.0 destination warning; Demo 1.0.6 route view

The short answer

When Traffic Architect says a building has no route, check the trip’s destination and permitted movements, not only the road immediately outside the complaining building. Full 1.1.0 now names the unreachable destination and marks it red. For a district, the Info tool documented in Demo 1.0.6 shows incoming routes on one click and outgoing routes on the next. Demo parity with the new 1.1.0 warning is unverified.

First establish which warning you have

What you seeFirst useful check
Full 1.1.0 names an unreachable destinationUse that name/red marker to locate the destination, then inspect the required route.
An older generic “No Route Available” warningDo not assume it means only the origin’s driveway is broken; inspect route permissions and district route information where applicable.
A growing queue with another stated reasonRead that actual reason before treating it as the same no-route case. 1.0.6 added more specific overload explanations.

A November 3 player post asked for unreachable towns to be highlighted because they could not find the destination. It was posted before the full 1.1.0 announcement and gives no build; it is a real problem report, not evidence that the newly announced full-version feedback is absent.

See traffic coming into and leaving a district

  1. Choose the Info tool.
  2. Click the district to display routes for cars coming to it.
  3. Click it again to display cars leaving it.
  4. Compare the displayed directions with the destination you need to reach. Other cars are greyed out in this documented mode.

This view shows car routes; the source does not promise a line for a trip that could not be created, or automatic identification of every inaccessible destination in an older Demo. The official 1.0.6 post says the view also works on the game-over screen. It describes districts; this guide does not assume the same two-click behavior applies to every type of landmark or building.

Inspect the route a restriction may have cut

  1. Locate the origin and the required destination, using the specific warning when your version provides it.
  2. Check the physical road connection and one-way direction along the candidate route.
  3. At junctions you recently edited, inspect turn bans and incoming-to-outgoing lane connections. A drawn road does not guarantee every needed movement is legal.
  4. Check both approach and departure directions. Undo or locally reverse an unintended recent rule, recording the prior state first.
  5. Recheck the warning and required route before changing another junction.

This is a diagnostic checklist based on the documented controls and the reported symptom. It does not identify the offending junction automatically or guarantee that every overload is caused by a turn ban.

Why not reset the whole city first?

In the October 30 discussion, one player says removing all network regulation modifications restored access. That is a single player’s result. Clearing every junction also discards intentional work and is not established as necessary. Since 1.0.8, Reset junction also removes that junction’s turn bans, so even a local reset should be deliberate. The lane-connection guide and turn-ban guide let you make a narrower check.

If you still cannot find the blocked trip

Keep the warning text, the named destination if shown, origin/destination screenshots, the route/connection view, version, Demo/full distinction and operating system. Report the saved case rather than deleting roads at random. The version checklist separates the older generic message from the new full 1.1.0 feedback without assuming the Demo received the same update.

The diagnosis is complete when you have identified the affected trip and checked an actual permitted route to its destination, or saved a precise unresolved reproduction. A physically connected road or the disappearance of one queue is not by itself proof every required trip is restored.
